いつもそこにあって、日々の生活に安心を与えてくれるモノ。 Leafeeは、センシングとネットワークを用いて、誰もが簡単に始められるホームセキュリティを提供するプラットフォームです。そのプラットフォームを構築する一連の製品群をデザインしました。これらの製品はいずれも住まいのなか、決められた場所に設置され、基本的にはそこから動くことはありません。あらゆる生活空間で使用され、そこに在り続ける。そのような性質から、主張し過ぎない「丁寧な簡素さ」をテーマに一連のデザインを創りました。空間を阻害することなく、個々の特徴を端的に表現する。ラウンドスクエアを基本型としながら、それぞれの機能・大きさ・設置状況に適した造形と細工を施し、それぞれにとって最適な「消失と表出のバランス」を見出しながら、全体としての世界観を創り上げました。

It is ever present to lend greater peace of mind to everyday life. Leafee is a home security platform incorporating sensing and network technology, which anyone can easily set up. I designed a set of products to build out the platform. All of these products can be installed in all kinds of living spaces in the home. Generally, they remain in place where they are installed. Reflecting on these characteristics, I created a series of designs on the theme of “precise but understated simplicity.” The products each express their individual character, straightforwardly, without interfering with the space around them. Although they have a common rounded-rectangular shape, each of them features a unique form and detailing, in accordance with their function, size, and place of installation. While each product finds its own optimal “balance between appearance and disappearance,” as a group they establish a unified worldview.
